Hello everyone!
Today I want to share the second part of Dr. Bruce Lipton's talk. For those interested in learning more, I want to highlight what Dr. Lipton considers necessary to understand in order to act differently and generate a true paradigm shift.
Dr. Lipton emphasizes, and I feel the same way, that we have been programmed to be victims of what happens to us and not to feel that we have the power to self-heal. He made an analogy by showing us the advertisement of a popular weight loss drug, where the ad convinces the viewer that the factors causing overweight and/or obesity (stress, exercise, real food, sleep) are not controllable by the individual. This way, corporations create problems to then sell us solutions (only corporations?). Even medicine has invented an eating disorder called orthorexia nervosa to penalize those who want to eat only healthy and real foods, as if that were not normal (see image 1). We normalize what harms and sickens us and demonize what keeps us in balance and healthy.
According to two prestigious scientific journals, JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) and BMJ (British Medical Journal), since the year 2000, the top three global causes of death have been:
Cardiovascular diseases,
Cancer, and
Iatrogenesis (diseases resulting from medical treatments)
(see image 2).
Dr. Lipton, with his own experience as a scientist, realized that medical schools use the Newtonian scientific method in an obsolete way (see image 3). There is already enough evidence to stop seeing the individual as a separate body and mind. To heal, the individual must be treated as a mind-body unit.
In summary, Dr. Lipton presented the following topics based on his experience and studies:
The mind over genes (epigenetics)
Quantum physics (the energy of the universe)
Stress (90% of the health crisis)
The matrix (programmed life)
Spirituality (true)
(see image 4).
THE MIND OVER GENES
As a stem cell biologist, Dr. Lipton discovered that genes manifested differently depending on the environment they were in (see image 5). This discovery was not well received by the pharmaceutical and cancer industries, which continue to focus on individual genes. Epigenetics (the study of changes in gene expression without alterations in the DNA sequence) shows how external factors and the environment can influence the activation or deactivation of genes (see images 6 and 7). However, research continues to be funded for individual genes, seeking to patent drugs instead of working on the environment that affects those genes.
If we change our perception (belief), we can change the expression of our genes (protein) (see image 8). The first myth we need to reset in our minds is believing that genes control biology. NO, EPIGENETICS controls biology (see image 9).
I will leave it here for today to allow you to digest the shared information and give you time to investigate more on your own. Surely, questions will arise; do not hesitate to share them in the comments or send a message. I may not have answers, but a community is there to support each other, grow together, and accompany each other in the process of evolution. Tomorrow I will continue sharing more about Dr. Lipton's talk.
